The lightly amusing mundanity of life wedged between the news of the day with plenty of orchestral space to contemplate your own life as well as the meaning of the song itself.
Welcome to hildi.blog. A day in the life, where every day offers a chance to explore. You’ll note my profile photo includes my collaborator in life, Brian Penoyer. Like Lennon and McCartney, the collaboration of Baker and Penoyer is greater than the sum of its parts.
Today is our 34th anniversary. We started out as college loves at University of Chicago and became a Coast Guard family along with our daughters Scotia and Teslin living across these great United States. And now, after 34 years of service, Brian has retired from the Coast Guard, and we’ve begun a new adventure living in Chicago.
BUT, today we set off for Japan, with each of 23 days a chance to explore. I invite you to join us. Wishing you a beautiful day to explore whenever you are.
